Should i get a boy or girl elf on the shelf

Cardiff Mummy Says. I get asked a lot of questions about Elf on the Shelf, so here are my answers to the most common ones. When everyone is in bed, the elf flies back to the North Pole to tell Santa about the good and bad activities that have happened that day. When the family wakes in the morning, the elf has flown back and is hiding in a new place to be found by the family. Elf on the Shelf started in America, with the elves arriving after Thanksgiving the last Thursday in November.

A beginner’s guide to Elf on the Shelf

That was really funny! Back in the day, you could have turned this into a regular skit, on Saturday Night Live I knew the elf was girl, just look at how her ankles were delicately crossed when she was in the box.

And where WAS the skirt, that's what I want to know Loved this, Ron, I felt like joining in the game. However, if I did there would be tight restrictions on the wine. A drunken elf just doesn't ring true, but a drunken fellow-blogger does whaaaa. A delightful post, my friend, you quite cheered me up. Wishing you a wonderful weekend Our parents gave both me and my husband our families elves from childhood, so we have the originals! Our parents never moved them around the house and I had never even heard of doing that until I started seeing all these naughty elves on the Internet.

I thought it was hilarious! My kids were too old to care by that time, so I started moving him just to amuse myself. Mine is hanging on a wine bottle right now.

I'm glad yours took a bubble bath after the toilet scene. That was a little disturbing, Ron! And that's one clever gal you have living with you, although I would try to keep her away from the windows.

You are one wild and crazy guy but I guess you know that! Happy Holidays to you and Shannon. And yes Val, she really does know how to cross those delicate ankles, I agree. What a lady!!!! You know, I thought they looked familiar! We used to have the pixie, too! My mother used to just shove it into the tree as an ornament.

No magical movements here. This was such a funny post! You must have been cracking yourself up the whole time! Have a fabulous weekend! Oh Ron, I can't stop laughing at this post! You've shared a lot of funny posts the past, but this one is my favorite.

The picture of Shannon slammed against the widow is hysterical! How did you do that? And the one of her in the bubble bath made me laugh so loud that someone in my office asked me what was so funny, and I showed them. How in the world do you come up with this stuff? The pictures are priceless. I've seen the Elf on the Shelf in stores and my niece got one last year for Christmas.

It's so cute. Thanks for the many laughs this morning. And I needed them because I'm having a stressful day so far. You're so right, Pat! Thanks so much for stopping by, buddy. Have a fantastic weekend! You have better eyes than me, Valerie, because I honestly couldn't tell!?! I did notice a tiny bit of "white" around the waistline but thought that perhaps it was a belt.

Thanks so much for stopping by, dear lady. Have a lovely weekend! X to you and Joe! Wow, Scott--I mean Shannon, sure gets around. She ought to be careful around the bathroom when she's drinking, though, or she may find herself sleeping with the fishes! But what is she going to do when Christmas is over--go back to the North Pole?!? Congratulations on your new friend, buddy, and thank for sharing Shannon with us!

Have a fabulous weekend, Ron How fabulous is that! I don't know whatever happened to the one we had growing up. Thanks so much for stopping by, my friend. Have a FAB weekend! She's quite the adventurer!

Have a super weekend! Enjoy that snow! I don't which one made me laugh harder, the one of her sitting on the toilet or the one of her mimicking the Buddha. But the one of her in the sink with the bubbles is priceless! It must have took you forever to put these photos together.

Only you You are so creative! Great post, dude! This is super cute! I wanted to do this but with no kids I thought I would look kinda silly. I did buy it for my nephew last year though and the price includes registering it online for more interactive fun. Sadly I don't think they use it over there. I should've kept it for myself!

Ron, Shannon sounds like a delight! She's going to keep you company throughout the Christmas season and probably beyond!

That said, her rosy cheeks and impish grin should have given you a hint that she liked a bit of the bubbly! And how in the world did you photograph her plastered to the window like that?!

Very clever, my friend! As for the skirt, well, gee, I don't see how you could've known any better. I mean, the thing doesn't show from the box. Maybe the manufacturer expects parents to just know which elf they're buying?? Here's to a happy weekend! That was funny, and clever and labor intensive - You have too much time on your hands, mister. I read about the Elf on the Shelf in the link since I had no idea what it was about but if you can't touch the elf then how does it move around?

Or is that prohibition just for the children and somehow the parents secretly knew they were supposed to move it? You see, I am ever the pragmatist and have no imagination at all. We have a blue stuffed octopus named Henry that we take along on trips and photograph in various poses.

He even has his own photo album on Facebook. Henry has been to the Oregon coast, Vegas, Seattle, you name it. We even got yelled at by a security guard in a casino for taking his picture on top of a slot machine. All in good fun, of course! I think Henry would love to hang out with Shannon. Oh, the trouble that pair could conjure up! Hope you two have a wonderful weekend. Well, Ron, you don't know how I feel your relief in deciding Shannon was the elf for you!

And she seems to be extremely happy with you. A match made in heaven. Oops, not finished And am so glad you're keeping an eye on her because I sense a slight rebelliousness. I can picture her with a guitar imitating Joan Jett after she meditates. Here's to you and Shannon! Hey Ron!!

My wife and I have always enjoyed Christmas, even though the structure of the holiday has changed during our marriage. Gone are the days of lavishing gifts on each other because we had no one else to buy for. As it is with most parents, we are now content to live vicariously through the joy seen through the eyes of our children on Christmas morning. That joy was sapped last Christmas because of a villainous invader whose very presence was meant to enhance that Christmas experience, not destroy it. That villain was the Elf on the Shelf.
