Like all good stories, our farm story begins with a love story. It starts with a handsome cowboy and blue-eyed girl. We dreamed of a place where we could grow a living from the land, with our hands in the dirt, the sun on our faces, and our children by our side. Eighteen years, three little boys and ten acres later, our dream is coming true. But like all good stories, our took some twists and turns before we arrived here.

We were married at the ripe old age of 19 and We bought our first little house: a sqft on a tiny corner lot. While far from the farmhouse on the rolling country acres we dreamed of, we settled in and kept dreaming big dreams. Shane pursued a career in civil construction while I finished college and landed my dream job, teaching kindergarten in a small school just down the road.

Three houses and two babies later, we found ourselves closer to our farm dream, living in our craftsman on one acre. Along with the original electrical and plumbing, we also inherited a few beds of perennials. It was out in the flower beds, baby monitor attached to my hip, that I started realizing that flowers were more than just a passing hobby.

I dug a few tiny flower beds, Shane build me a little roadside stand and then we watched our little business grow. A few years later, with the addition of a third sweet little bundle in blue, we decided it was time to start looking for space to for our growing family and a real farm.

That summer, we downsized from a large, beautifully renovated historical home and moved into a tiny, thirty year old mobile home. It was the best decision we ever made. Every day we count our lucky stars to be able to raise our boys, wild and free, in this place where we can put down roots and be a part of an incredible community.

You'll find our farm on a little hill, just past the world famous Skagit Valley tulip fields. While dahlias are reigning queen, we also love to grow unique foliages, vines and whimsical bits like grasses and pods. We're headed into our third growing season here and the farm has come along way from the overgrown, blackberry filled horse pasture that it was when we first laid eyes on it three years ago.

More important than raising flowers, we're raising a family. This farm is home to more forts than you can count, a small flock of Romney sheep, two Gloucestershire pigs, chickens and a few barn cats and our beloved farm dog, Picket.

This is where our boys run barefoot or ride bikes between the rows while we harvest flowers. We'd love for you to follow along with our farm story! Be sure to connect with us on social media share the day to day workings of our little farm.
