Vietnam has been one of our favorites for years. And what better place to go for high quality Vietnamese food than Chinatown? Highlights of the menu include the Crispy Spring Rolls (and the vegetarian ones are just as good), Sweet and Sour Chicken unlike any you’ve ever had before, the Pho, and any of their Claypots. Prices are about the most for a place that we’d advocate ($6-8 for appetizers), ($10-14 for mains), but if you’re looking for a nice place for dinner, this is it. And for whatever reason, there’s been a poster of Kobe Bryant on the wall for as long as we can remember.
Dock Street Brewery
The Dock Street Brewery combines three of the best things in life– pizza, beer, and movies. This place brews their own beer, and it’s amazing. With a constant rotation of beers, and stuff on tap like the Baltic Porter and the there seems to always be something new to try. Its pizza was rated number one in the city by Philadelphia Magazine. While we’re not in the business of rating pizzas, we can’t say anything bad about their offers. The Fig Jam and Gorgonzola pizza is fantastic, and unlike anything we’ve ever had before. Finally, every Tuesday, they show a movie, complete with beer and pizza specials. Check our calendar for this week’s showing!
